The Boston University Libraries seek a Head of Professional Studies and Pardee Management Library to serve a dual leadership role within the organization: (1) as the libraries' engagement lead with BU's academic programs in business, communication, education, social work and (2) as the head librarian for the Frederick S. Pardee Management Library, an embedded branch library located within the Questrom School of Business. Reporting to the University Librarian, the Head will oversee the work of three subject librarians in addition to the six Pardee Library staff to design and deliver excellent, disciplinarily appropriate library services. Through engagement within the schools, the Head supports the work of the librarians to supply information resources and services to their research and learning communities. The Head further identifies initiatives and supports emerging areas of library activity, including advanced support for research data. As a member of the library leadership team, the Head collaborates with peers both in and out of the libraries, participating actively within professional networks and supplying support and mentorship to librarians engaged in related activities.
